They should be qualified and well trained in specific Lasik procedures, they should have treated a number of people including their own friends and family, and they should be skilled in patient care to be a potential surgeon candidate. The eyes are an area that need to be treated gently as they cannot be replaced.

Qualified lasik surgeons may be more expensive than a less train physician; however, they are worth it. To ensure the quality of work, find a physician that belongs to a trusted group that promotes quality and demands certain qualifications be met. Cost should not be a factor in choosing a surgeon; quality of work should come first.
